Symptoms
I have a view that I cannot check in due to Dependency Errors. Nothing on the form points me to a specific issue and I cannot figure out what the dependency error is.
Diagnoses
This error was due to a Drop Down in the list View which had been changed to a text box control. Drop down controls connected to a Smartobject will add rules to the View in order to work correctly. The issue came from these rules not being deleted when the control is changed.
Resolution
The issue was resolved by deleting the field in the column and adding a Text Box instead of doing a Change Control for the drop down column.
