Symptoms
One of the business requirement is to catch the client date time and timezone from smart form. and also create log with server's timezone. We design the database table using datetimeoffset data type. But it seems that K2 smartform and blackpearl do not support time zone concept in smartform and workflow. I can't retrieve the time zone info from client browser nor I can get the server's timezone in workflow.
Diagnoses
The 'datetimeoffset(7)' SQL datatype is not yet a supported datatype and as such there is not yet any Smartforms control or K2 datatype to support this SQL datatype within Smartforms/process.
Resolution
A product enhancement request was logged to implement in this datatype in a future release to support datetimeoffset(7).
