Client event notification not sent out

Symptoms


The system cannot send notification email after we have changed the K2 service account. Email event has no issues.

We have tried the following:-
1. Verify MSMQ configurations following URL.

2. Verify Public Queues of the Server for Queue Eventbus and Eventbus Error -> No error found.

3. Verify Full in queue for Control rights in Public Queues (For K2 service account)

4. Verify MSDTC configurations following UR.

5. Restart server.

 

Diagnoses


I provided them with a few suggestions:-
1. In your K2HostServer.exe.config file, please make sure the following is entered:-





2. Check your String Table in Management Console - K2 Server - Workflow Server - String Table - String Table (environment)
Make sure the Mail Server and From Address strings are set to the correct values

3. Also check your Environment Fields in Management Console - K2 server - Environment Library - Templates - Default Template - Environment - (select environment) - Environment Fields
Similarly, make sure the Mail Server and From Address strings are set to the correct values

 

Resolution

This was resolved after ensuring that only the SMTP path is added in the K2HostServer.exe.config file.
