This is useful information to have. There have been times when I have wondered about the permissions to do things in Nintex and wasn't quite sure.

Lisa,

Thank you! Always glad to help!

Chris,

As you need to have at least full control at the list level to even see the Nintex Workflow / Forms buttons on the ribbon I am confused how you reached these conclusions. Are you certain you are doing these tests on O365?

Doh!  You're right Andrew.  I've just looked at everything again and I've swapped the list and site permissions over.  I take everything back! ;-)  I'll try and delete the post above.

Sorry!

It appears that the Forms Designer also requires read permissions at the root site of the site collection otherwise you can get a stuck at the "Checking License Information" stage.

Mark,

I have updated my article to include the site collection scope.

Workflow Hero

Awesome!  Also note maybe that requirement is only for Forms.  Workflow seems to hum along just fine with no permissions on the root site.

Mark,

I have found the same applies to workflows as well.

Workflow Hero

Very interesting!  Thanks for the heads up on that one.

Thanks, Andrew! The product help is now updated to include minimum permissions.
