Can you use a workflow to query the popularity trends in SharePoint?

I'm working with SharePoint 2013 and am looking to query the 'Popularity Trends' within SharePoint. This is so I can get the data onto a list within the site for reporting purposes and so all users (without Full Control permissions) can see it.

Is this possible? Can it be done with a web service call somehow?

Thanks in advanced.

Hi,

I noticed that Popularity Trends in SP 13 are available in Excel, and don't see any web services to query populary trends. One way I can think of is manually downloading that excel file and upload to a document libray. Then use the "Excel services" action  of Nintex workflow and process the excel data to show required data in a SharePoint list or thrid party graph tools. Or simply show the Excel sheet in  a SharePoint page. It looks not an efficient way of doing, but just a thought!
