The information in this whitepaper has been updated and moved to the Configure SmartForms for Azure Active Directory (AAD) topic in the K2 Installation and Configuration Guide. Consider this article deprecated and for historical reference only.

K2 supports integration with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (AAD), allowing AAD users to login to K2 web sites and be used as destination users in workflow client events. Additionally, K2 provides Service Brokers and Workflow Wizards which allow K2 to interact with AAD, such as creating new users and managing user group membership.

In order to make sure of this new functionality, you may need to perform some configuration. Download this whitepaper and PowerShell scripts to learn how.

You do NOT need to perform these steps if you have installed the K2 for SharePoint app and your SharePoint site identities originate from AAD.
