Trying to upload an InfoPath Schema to SharePoint but getting this error. The item appears to be getting loaded to the SharePoint repository successfully. The new items open up in InfoPath without any issues but the process errors out due to this error and does not continue. Any ideas?

I had a similar error but with a DateTime field. InfoPath Schema would still upload and open, but the process went into error.
I raised a support ticket with K2 Support and they sent me a replacement dll for: SourceCode.SharePoint.WebServices.K2SPFunctions.dll to be replaced in the SharePoint Root and GAC.
I was using K2 BlackPearl 4.5 1230 at the time and this fix was for 1290 as well I believe. I would strongly recommend getting in touch with K2 Support with your issue to see it is the same or similar.
