Hi Mario,

Have you tried purging the workflow history on this page?  I start getting these errors on the pages where the workflows go through a lot of steps or where there are many workflows running often.  It usually comes right after purging the workflow data (from central admin under Nintex workflow)

Purging does wipe your workflow history for the selection parameters that you choose, so just apply your mind before doing this.  The workaround that I use it to click on View all site content, Site workflows and then pick the one I want to work with.

Kind regards,

Hi Mario,

does this happen with all workflows or just with a single workflow or instance?

Did you perform any update for Nintex or the underlying Database (server)?

Kind regards,

Enrico

Thanks for the tip, but it did not solve the problem.

The problem exist with all workflows. Yes, I updated the nintex workflow and form last weekend but the problem already exists before the update. My hope was that the issue is resolved by the update.

Its not my primary field of knowledge but it may be a problem with the permissions of your SharePoint web application service account. You should check if it has enough permissions to the Nintex Database.

To test this you could create a new web application, activate all Nintex services on it and check if workflows are running ok there. If so, I would check if the current web application's service account has the same privileges to the Nintex database.

Kind regards,

Enrico

Have you checked the event log or the log files for the error in SharePoint server? I guess it must be related to permission
