Error message after upgrading from version 4.6.8 to 4.6.11

Symptoms

 

 

 

After upgrading K2 from 4.6.8 to version 4.6.11, workflow instance within SharePoint throws the following error message:

 

 

 

"Error: Method could not be resolved!"
 

 

Diagnoses

 


The K2 server will use the "K2 for Sharepoint 2010" components that are installed on the Sharepoint servers to communicate with Sharepoint if K2 blackpearl had been upgraded to 4.6.11, the "K2 for Sharepoint 2010" components on the Sharepoint servers will also need to be upgraded to 4.6.11.
 

 

Resolution

 


Run the "1. K2 blackpearl 4.6.11 (4.12060.1731.2)" installation files on the Sharepoint Servers to upgrade these components. Please upgrade the components on the Sharepoint WFEs first and the lastly on the Sharepoint Central Administration Server.

After all components have been upgraded, please run the "K2 for Sharepoint Configuration Wizard" from Start Menu > K2 Blackpearl > "K2 for Sharepoint 2010 Configuration Wizard" from the Central Administration Server.

This wizard will upgrade and update the K2 (.wsp) solutions. Please also run the wizard to re-"Activate the K2 Features and Configuration Settings" to the site in questions.

The steps above will recycle the Sharepoint Application pool, as such please plan for downtime whe performing this upgrade.
