Escalation Email to Role or AD Group

I need to set up an escalation email to go to a Role or to an AD Group of users.  The wizard does not seem to allow this.  Anyone try this?  I was hoping to not have to write any custom code.

I could be mistaken here but it seems that:



  1. Setting a destination rule on the client event to the role
  2. selecting the option in the destination rule advanced options to "Resolve all roles to users"
  3. Create your escalation

Wouldn't this work?

#2 option doesn't appear to be available in BlackPoint and if I configure a role with an AD Group member, the task is orphaned (no-one in groups get allocated the task).


Whereas if I use direct AD groups, the users get the task, but no email notification is sent.

I think the best option would be to log a support ticket on this and someone will take a look at this.

Thanks - I think we will, once we get our other major support issue resolved.


I imagine like my other post it may have something to do with multiple domains configured.
