Hello all.

I'm having an issue when copying a file from 1 library to another using the Copy Item activity.

When i copy a file with a content type of "Document" it ends up with a different content type in the destination.

  • Both libraries have all the same content types.  The destination library was created from a template of the source library.
  • All content types are site content types.
  • It only affects files where the source is of content type "Document".  All other content types copy over properly.
  • Nintex Version: 3.2.2.10.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ed

Since you are copying documents, you should be using Copy to SharePoint, not Copy item.

Hi Brendan.

Thank you for your reply.  The Copy to SharePoint activity is only necessary when copying an item to another site.  Both libraries are in the same site.  Also, the Copy Item activity is working properly for all other content types.

Thanks again

No, you can use Copy to SharePoint for the same site.  This document https://community.nintex.com/docs/DOC-1363 actually recommends it for copying from libraries in the same site.  And if you are copying from folders or sub-folders, the copy item won't work the way you want.
