Error when activating Nintex Workflow on the Site Collection

When attempting to activate the Nintex Workflow 2010/2013 Site Collection feature, an unexpected error occurs with a correlation ID.


Workflow for SharePoint 2010;Workflow for SharePoint 2013


Activation has failed and any further attempts to reactivate fail due to the items that have been partially created in the activation process.


Delete the partially created elements and force deactivate then force reactivate.

  1. Ensure deactivation is complete on the Site Collection by running this command: 
    • Disable-SPFeature -Url http://[sitecollurl] -Identity '0561d315-d5db-4736-929e-26da142812c5' -Confirm:$false -force
  2. Delete the following items from the Site Collection using SharePoint Manager: 
    • Content Types\  
      • Nintex Biztalk Task
      • Nintex Workflow Multi Outcome Task
      • Nintex Workflow Task
      • Workflow
      • Workflow Snippet
      • Workflow Template
    • Lists\  
      • NintexSnippets
      • NintexTemplates
    • List Templates\  
      • NintexCatalog
  3. Reactivate the Site Collection feature through PowerShell with the force parameter: 
    • Enable-SPFeature -Url http://[sitecollurl] -Identity '0561d315-d5db-4736-929e-26da142812c5' -force
