Issue

You'll notice that both direct emails and task notifications are not sending across all environments. This occurs even after applying the latest Fixpack for K2 5.1. This causes the process to break as it goes into an error state.

Checking the queues via computer management and restarting the K2 service does not resolve the issue.

Symptoms

If you check the host server logs you may see the following error appear a few times if trying to send an email via a process.

"The Exchange Server Responded with the Error 'Error Quota Exceeded'"

Troubleshooting Steps

There are a few things you can check to resolve this:

- Make sure that the correct mailbox is set up here, this can be done by going to the Connection String Editor which can be found at the following location:

Program Files x86  > K2 Blackpearl > Host Server > Bin

Or via the Set up manager from the start menu.

With regards to the error: "The Exchange Server Responded with the Error 'Error Quota Exceeded.'" This is most likely due to the mailbox being full on the actual mail server.  If you can access the actual mailbox, you may see that the draft folder or the deleted items folder will need to be cleared out in order for this issue to be resolved successfully.
